Ten (plus One Extra) Autumn Nature Crafts

(picture taken by windchime)

You know how sometimes you read something and think, "Wow, that's such a good idea! I need to remember that. I really want to do that!" and then you forget about it? Well, here is my list of the top ten (well eleven!) nature crafts that I would like to do with my kids within the next month. Though they aren't all specifically just for autumn, I thought they'd all be good crafts to do in autumn.  I hope that perhaps you'll find some crafts in this list that you might like to do, too.  :-)

1.  The Magic Onions: Make an Autumn Wreath

2.  All Things Beautiful: Twig and Maple Seed Dragonflies Also, 5 Orange Potatoes mentions making a mobile with the dragonflies, and Moment to Moment mentions gluing them onto a bouquet of sticks (it's so pretty!) and shows, too, different animals that can be made.

3.  How the Sun Rose: Corn Husk Dolls

4.  Moment to Moment: Lavender Air Freshener Wands (also here: Time to Craft: Making Lavender Wands)

5.  Natural Suburbia: Leaf Rubbings

6.  Natural Suburbia: Branch Weaving

7.  The Magic Onions: Colored Sand (I want to make something using the colored sand, too, but I haven't figured out what yet!)

8.  5 Orange Potatoes: Twig Easels

9.  That Artist Woman: How to Make Fall Leaves with Paint, Paper and Pastel

10.  That Artist Woman: Paper Mache Birds

11.  That Artist Woman: How to Make a Paper Bag Pumpkin
