Fair Hearts

Our family went to the Puyallup Fair yesterday and "did the Puyallup" for about 10 hours!  That's a new record for us.  Back when my first daughter (who is 14 now) was a wee child, we couldn't stay at the fair for very long at all because she couldn't handle being around crowds and would get really overwhelmed.  Once she reached her limit of being able to cope we had to leave or else she would cry, have a melt-down, that type of thing.  I felt a little discouraged about it at the time, but didn't blame her because crowds truly can be terribly overwhelming even for adults.

But wow, look at us now -- four kids and two parents enjoying the fair together, getting exhausted, but having such a fun time, staying there for TEN hours!?  If you can't tell, I'm impressed.  ;)

I have more pictures from the fair to share, but for now I'd like to share a few heart pictures for Guest Heart Thursday. ♥ (Yes, this is my second entry for today!  I'm just so eager to share! lol)

Such a sweet mama and piglet!
I see a heart or two on Mama Pig. :-)

This picture is actually from 2008. Either my mom or dad took it.
I see a big heart on the mama. ♥
I just love pigs!
And here are some pictures from the carousel we rode. I love that it's an old merry-go-round. It's my favorite one! Before we had our turn on the ride, a child stood up and fell from it. He appeared to be okay, but afterwards the ride attendants became extra cautious. Because of that we had to sit on our horses a (long) while before they finally started the ride, and I had extra time to take pictures.
There are hearts under the mirrors. ♥
I can't see any hearts on these horses, but just
wanted to share their pics, too.  ♥

  1. Ooooh! Look at all of those pig hearts! How absolutely fun that you got to spend so much time at the fair. We used to go every year when my kids were young, and miss it so much. Other issues now. Sigh.

Thank you for BOTH of your hearty posts today!
